Mala is Now In-Network With Priority Health

One of our biggest announcements this year is that Mala is now in-network with Priority Health.

Priority Health members can now access psychotherapy, psychological evaluations, medication management services across our locations and providers. We are thrilled to make it easier for more clients to receive the care they need.

Speech & Language Therapy Is Coming to Mala!

We are excited to officially launch Speech & Language Therapy services beginning this July in both our Ann Arbor and Farmington Hills locations.

Please join us in welcoming our first Speech-Language Pathologist, Shelby DeShetler, MA, CCC-SLP, to the Mala team! Shelby has extensive experience supporting children of all ages with communication and feeding challenges. She provides neurodiversity-affirming, play-based therapy that builds on each child’s unique strengths.

Shelby ACCEPTS BCBS, BCN, Aetna, & Private Pay

This August, our Farmington Hills location will expand to include Occupational Therapy services and Speech and Language Therapy services.

Occupational Therapy services will be provided by:

We are thrilled to announce that select Occupational Therapy clients in Ann Arbor may now be eligible to participate in Animal-Assisted Therapy. This exciting program is led by Dr. Michelle Speer, OTD, OTR/L, alongside her therapy partner, Kona.

Meet Kona!

Kona is sweet, calm, curious, and playful, enjoying new people, new places, and plenty of belly rubs. Her gentle presence can support emotional regulation, engagement, confidence-building, and therapeutic connection for children who are appropriate candidates for animal-assisted intervention. We are incredibly proud of the extensive training and preparation Dr. Speer and Kona have completed to bring this service to Mala.
