Social Skills Group for Kids
Helping kids build the skills for connection & Confidence amongst their peers
Social skills are foundational to every aspect of life, shaping how individuals connect with others and navigate the world around them. For young children, the development of strong social skills impacts their emotional well-being, academic success, and future relationships. Mastering social skills early enables children to communicate their needs, understand others' perspectives, and engage in cooperative problem-solving. These abilities foster a sense of belonging and self-confidence, essential for thriving in school and life.
Our Ann Arbor-based Social Skills Group is designed to equip children ages 7-9 years-old with practical tools to handle everyday social situations with greater ease and confidence. This group emphasizes skill building for effective conflict resolution, healthy boundaries, teamwork and collaboration. Through fun and interactive activities, children also learn effective communication strategies—such as active listening, empathy, and advocacy—that help them express themselves clearly and understand the emotions of others.
