Clinical Psychology Practicum student

Ann Arbor & Virtual

Hi there, I’m Meret!

Thank you for taking the time to read more about me and what I can offer prospective clients. I emigrated to the US from Switzerland in 2021 and am currently in the process of getting my license as a psychotherapist in Michigan. I received my Master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. My background includes research and clinical training in the areas of eating disorders, intimacy and loneliness, the transition to parenthood and interpersonal issues in LGBTQIA+ couples. I served a clinical internship with the Center for Eating Disorders as an undergraduate and graduate student and held internships at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. I am also a certified intuitive eating counselor. Lifelong learning is a priority for me – and I continue to educate myself on new ways to support my clients in ways that work for them.

My focus is on providing a caring and kind space in which people can befriend their mind and body. As a licensed yoga teacher, I like to use practical body-based tools to support healing. I have always been curious about humans and the complexities of life. That is why I approach my clients with a non-judgmental positive attitude and curiosity, focusing on your resources. I will support you in your process of healing using my curiosity, my caring presence coupled with empathy and compassion, as well as a down-to-earth and integrative approach. I have some experience working with teenagers and younger children. I love humans of all ages and am excited to meet with you to help you navigate whatever it is that brings you to therapy.
