Kelsey Russom, MS, LLP
Master’s Level Psychologist
Farmington Hills & Virtual
Hi, I’m Kelsey! I’ve been a licensed therapist since 2017, with a background in clinical health psychology—a field that explores the deep connections between mental and physical health.
I have extensive experience working with children and teens navigating anxiety, depression, and ADHD. When working with young clients, I emphasize collaboration with families, believing that supporting kids means supporting the entire family system.
I’m also deeply passionate about working with women and mothers. Motherhood can be beautiful and meaningful—and also overwhelming, lonely, and filled with pressure to do it all “right.” I help women and mothers navigate these complex experiences, along with identity shifts, relationship challenges, and old patterns that no longer serve them.
My approach to therapy is warm, trauma-informed, and rooted in feminist values. I prioritize safety, self-compassion, and empowerment, creating a space where clients can explore their stories and reconnect with their authentic selves.

I love the reciprocal nature of this profession. Each time I support a client in their healing, I’m also learning—about humanity, resilience, and myself. That ongoing exchange deepens my empathy and continually enriches my ability to help.

From a young age, I saw how loving people could still struggle to love each other well. I witnessed how unhealed pain can create distance and misunderstanding, and I became deeply curious about why that happens—and how it can change. That curiosity grew into a calling to help people heal, reconnect, and build more compassionate relationships with themselves and others.

Most clients describe sessions with me as calm, conversational, and supportive. I strive to create a cozy, judgment-free space where you can explore, feel understood, and be gently challenged when needed. Whatever we’re working on, we’re always on the same team.

I’m passionate about guiding people back to a sense of wholeness and authenticity. I believe that self-awareness and self-acceptance are powerful tools for healing, and that as we grow in those areas, we naturally create more compassion and connection in our relationships and communities.
