Kaitlyn Hunt, MA, TLLP, IMH-E
Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist
Farmington Hills & Virtual
Hello! My name is Kaitlyn and I am a psychologist here at Mala and I want to offer you a warm welcome! I earned both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Wayne State University. Since then I have been developing my therapeutic skills and have a specialized endorsement in Infant Mental Health. I love working with little ones, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families through a relationship focused lens.
As a therapist, I bring a gentle and accepting attitude to every client that I work with. I effectively balance comfort and safety while helping clients feel empowered to continue to grow. Together we will explore past experiences, relationships, and work towards understanding the self and how to achieve your goals. Some evidence based approaches that I often utilize are PCIT, CPP, IFS and play based techniques. I highly value the role of parents and caregivers and provide support to the entire family through coaching and training.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me, and know that I am honored to be a part of your therapy journey!

Sessions can feel different for every client and every need! I often use toys, art and other expressive media to help clients express what words may not be able to.

I am passionate about making time for all parts of yourself, not just those that are “productive”. I celebrate when I can find moments to pause and marvel at the small wonders that are all around us.

Some fun facts about me are that I can solve a Rubik’s cube, I love fancy glassware, and my favorite Pop Tart flavor is wild berry!
