Social Work practicum Student

Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, Plymouth & Virtual‍

Hi, my name is Hina!

I am currently a Master of Social Work student at the University of Michigan, specializing in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. I am truly honored to join the team at Mala Child & Family Institute as a clinical intern.

For as long as I can remember, I have been driven by a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges and find meaningful solutions. Before starting my graduate studies, I spent eight years working within the local school system as a full time substitute teacher and paraprofessional. This extensive experience working with children and youth, combined with my own lived experiences, solidified my dream of becoming a compassionate and effective therapist.

At Mala, I am committed to providing culturally sensitive, client-centered care. I utilize a strengths-based perspective to ensure that every individual feels seen, heard, and empowered. Whether I am working with children, teens, or adults, I prioritize creating a safe and collaborative environment where clients from all backgrounds can thrive.
