Dr. Devin Willis, PhD, DLLP

Doctoral Level Psychologist

Farmington Hills & Virtual

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” – Maya Angelou

My commitment to my own wellness has allowed me to develop the skills to create space for others to do the same. As a psychologist, I have committed to using psychological assessment as a tool for assisting individuals on the journey to self-knowledge. Further, I have learned that a very important and necessary step towards thriving is knowledge of self as a cultural being in relation to a larger community and society.

For those seeking diagnostic clarity, you can expect your whole self to be welcomed into the space in order to gain insight into what best explains your unique experiences. During your work with me I invite you to be an active participant in the process of identifying potential barriers to thriving and developing a plan to begin and/or continue your journey to thriving.

  • What I love most about my profession is that there is no such thing as running out of opportunities to grow. It provides a consistent reminder of how our continual growth is connected to the growth and healing of others.

  • I decided to become a mental health professional in high school when I was exposed to psychology as a career option. Learning about the mind and human behavior gave me the language for how my own mind worked including my significant value for understanding not only the “what” but the “why.” Most simply put, the role of psychologist aligns with whom I have always known myself to be.

  • When working with clients, I am intentional about doing everything in my power to make you feel seen and heard. My goal is for you to feel valued and empowered.

  • I am passionate about utilizing my education and skills to “pay it forward.” This is informed by my recognition of how I have benefited from those who have adopted value and desire to do the same for others.

  • “The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any” –Alice Walker
