Ben Planton, MPA
Medication Management Intake Coordinator
Ann Arbor & Virtual
Hello, I’m Ben Planton. I’m so excited to be part of the Mala Child & Family Institute as the Medication Management Intake Coordinator.I have a background in child development, non-profit administration, and professional development across a variety of educational, non-profit, and governmental settings.
In my previous roles, I’ve worked to improve systems and reduce barriers for children, families, professionals, organizations, and communities. Much of my work has centered around working with families in crisis to find childcare, housing, and the information necessary to thrive.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ohio University, and my Master’s in Public Administration from Indiana University. My professional journey has been centered around the belief that every person deserves to feel understood, supported, and respected - no matter what.
At Mala, I feel deeply aligned with our values of trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally sensitive care. It’s an honor to be part of a team that leads with heart, and I’m here to help make the first steps into care as smooth and welcoming as possible.
