Alison Czischke, LMSW
Clinical Social Worker
Farmington Hills & Virtual
Hi, I’m Alison, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
As both a therapist and a mom, I know how much is on your plate, and how hard it can be to ask for help when you’re doing your best to hold everything together. Whether you’re reaching out for your child, your family, or yourself, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through this alone. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and focused on creating a space where you feel supported, respected, and truly understood.
I’m a fully licensed clinical social worker and child and family psychotherapist at Mala Child & Family Institute’s Farmington Hills office. In addition to my work at Mala, I serve full-time as a school social worker in the Novi Public School District, where I support students, teachers, and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. This dual perspective (within both clinical and school systems) allows me to bridge gaps between home, therapy, and education, helping families feel more connected, empowered, and seen.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families around ADHD, autism, learning and developmental differences, school stress, anxiety, depression, anger, emotional regulation, and family conflict. I also support parents navigating tough seasons and big emotions, helping them build confidence, clarity, and stronger relationships with their kids.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and flexible, drawing from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I tailor each session to the needs of the individual or family in front of me, always through a lens that is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally sensitive. I believe strongly in honoring each client’s identity, story, and way of being in the world.
Families often tell me they feel comforted by my calm presence, steady support, and realistic guidance. I bring my whole self into this work: my clinical training, my professional experience, and my perspective as a parent. I understand how hard parenting can be, especially when your child’s needs feel misunderstood or unsupported. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and practical tools to help you and your family thrive.
If you're looking for someone who understands both the emotional and educational sides of what your child or family is going through, I’d be honored to work with you. You’re not alone in this, and together, we can create a path forward.

I have always loved helping others from an early age. I truly enjoy working with individuals and families to help them gain insight into their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors as well as assisting with improving coping strategies.
-
My primary goal as a therapist is to establish an atmosphere that feels safe for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together in treatment, we will collaborate on problem solving strategies to help you overcome the obstacles that keep you from living the life you want.
-
Choosing to meet with a therapist is courageous and requires vulnerability, however, it leads to growth. I treat every client with respect, admiration, and openness. I believe every individual is deserving of an unbiased, safe, and meaningful space to process their experiences.
-
My ultimate wish is that each and every client is that we can create a space that allows us to unpack feelings and experiences, as well as celebrate progress and build on your successes.
