Hi there! My name is Ghadeer. That’s pronounced guh-deer. I’m a trauma-informed therapist, and I’m passionate about helping adults, kids, and couples better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and build healthier relationships.
As a therapist, I prioritize the relationship I build with the people I work with. For couples, I’m interested in understanding the patterns that develop between partners, how past experiences can shape the way we relate to one another, and what makes it difficult to feel heard, understood, or connected. For all my clients, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest, imperfect, and fully yourself without having to worry about being judged. I also want it to be genuinely helpful, offering new perspectives, a better understanding of yourself and your patterns, and practical ways to approach things differently.
Ethical practice is another thing I value, I want the people I work with to understand why we’re doing something and feel like they have a voice in the process. I’m thoughtful about boundaries and the responsibility that comes with being invited into someone’s life. For me, creating a sense of safety means being honest, respectful, and mindful of the trust that comes with the therapeutic relationship.
I draw from acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, play therapy for little ones, emotion focused therapy for couples, and always holistic, systemic approaches that consider the whole person and their environment.
Outside of work, you can find me trail running, snuggling my perfect Australian Shepherd mix, Atlas, reading, or enjoying a chicken shawarma with extra garlic sauce. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, whether you’re navigating something individually, seeking support for your child, or hoping to better understand and strengthen your relationship

As a daughter of Iraqi immigrants growing up in Michigan, I grew up not knowing where I fit in. I often felt too "Americanized" for my family who grew up in Iraq and definitely not "Americanized" enough for my peers in school. This left me feeling lost and wishing for a feeling I didn't yet have words for: validated. I know now that my life-long desire to help others was born from this hurt. This is why it is such an honor every single time I am allowed to be a safe landing spot for another person in pain or confusion. Whatever your hurt, it is my mission to help you find relief and understanding.

Sessions with me are dynamic, genuine, focused, sometimes silly, and always welcoming.

Sometimes the bravest and best thing you can do is ask for help. Being a human can be very weird and very scary and all we have is each other. So if you're even thinking about letting someone help you, that is really awesome. Whether it's me or someone else, I hope you get the help you need because you deserve it.
